Overview
 

Set to open in the fall of 2018, Legacy Peak Elementary School—along with adjacent space for the Center for Modern Learning (CML)—is the first project of an 80-acre master planned school site. The elementary school will house 600 preschool through fifth grade students with a learning commons, gymnasium, cafeteria, art, music and flex spaces for 21st Century learning. 

The new building is located at the future intersection of Research Parkway & Wolf Valley Drive.

Project Features

  • PK- 5 elementary school with 24 classrooms for kindergarten through 5th grades and one pre-school classroom

  • After-hours access to the gym, learning commons and cafeteria 

  • Separate entries and parking for each program 

  • Outdoor classroom, playing field, and playgrounds 

  • Separate bus loading area with easy access to Legacy Peak and CML

Completed Projects

  • Ground breaking on May 30, 2017

  • Transfer of land ownership to Academy District 20

  • Land graded

  • Concrete foundation walls poured

  • Both elevator shafts erected

  • Masonry walls for gym completed

  • Curb, gutter, and asphalt placed for west parking lot 

  • Last beam for Legacy Peak placed on October 20, 2017

  • Solar tubes installed in Legacy Peak and CML

  • Exterior masonry completed and windows installed at Legacy Peak

  • Polished concrete floors complete in Legacy Peak and CML

  • Poured asphalt for exterior basketball court

  • Gym LVT floor installed

  • Asphalt completed for entire site

  • Classroom wings (A &C) complete

  • Fire alarm system installed

  • Playground equipment installed

  • Turf field installed

  • All concrete poured at site

  • Sprinkler system installed

  • Wing B (cafeteria, gymnasium, art & library) complete

  • Audio/visual systems installed
