Walk or Ride
Academy District 20 students attending their neighborhood school are eligible for bus service only if they live outside their school's walk zone boundary. Students living within the walk zone boundary do not qualify for bus service.

Transportation Requests
Requesting Bus Service
If you live outside the walk zone for your neighborhood school and want bus transportation to that school, you must register for bus service:
- Login using your district-provided username and password.
- All students in your household will be displayed. Click the name of the student for whom you wish to request bus transportation.
- Select the “Bus Transportation” tab at the top of the screen.
- Click the Bus Transportation Request link in the Bus Transportation Request section.
- Read and acknowledge the Bus Transportation Request agreement.
- Answer the questions in the Bus Transportation Request form for your student at the bottom of the page.
- You will receive an email when your request has been processed. Please verify your email address is current in the Extended Parent Portal.
Requesting Space Available Service
If you live outside the school district or have a special request for bus transportation, you must register for Space Available bus service:
- Login using your district-provided username and password.
- All students in your household will be displayed. Click the name of the student for whom you wish to request bus transportation.
- Select the “Bus Transportation” tab at the top of the screen.
- Click the Space Available Request link in the Bus Transportation Request section.
- Read and acknowledge the Space Available Request agreement.
- Answer the questions in the Space Available Request form for your student at the bottom of the page.
- You will receive an email when your request has been processed. Please verify your email address is current in the Extended Parent Portal.
Cancel Bus Service
If your student will no longer use bus service, you may cancel at any time by submitting a written request to d20ride@asd20.org. Include your student’s name and student ID.
If you cancel within the 21-day grace period, your fee will be removed:
- Cancel on or before Sept. 8, 2026, to have your first semester fee removed.
- Cancel on or before Jan. 27, 2027, to have your second semester fee removed.
- If your request is approved after the semester begins, cancellation must be made within 21 days after approval.
View Your Student’s Bus Information
School bus information is available online starting Aug. 1 each year. Parents do not receive postcards or written information in the mail regarding bus assignments.
To find your student's bus information:
- Login with your district-provided username and password and click on "Bus Routing".
- All students in your household will be displayed. Click the name of the student whose bus information you want to view.
- The main screen for that student will be displayed.
- Select the "Bus Routing" tab at the top left of the screen.
- Bus number, bus stop location, and departure/return times will be displayed for your student.
Moving or Changing Schools
Your current address determines your student’s eligibility for bus transportation. To update your address, contact Central Registry by emailing crhelp@asd20.org. After updating your address, submit a new request through the Extended Parent Portal.
Transportation for Students with an IEP
If you believe your child may qualify for special transportation, contact your case manager.
