Program Overview

The Teacher Cadet program is a yearlong honors course designed to provide high school students with a challenging introduction to teaching. The licensed curriculum aligns with the Colorado Teacher Quality Standards and offers students insight into the nature of teaching and critical issues affecting education quality in America’s schools.

Students build leadership, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills while earning field-experience hours. Experiences may include active learning, classroom observations, mini teaching experiences, and shadowing education professionals.
