Hall of Excellence Stories

In 2016, Superintendent Dr. Mark Hatchell (2007-2019) began the Hall of Excellence to honor staff, alumni, community members, and volunteers for their lasting contributions to our district.

The Hall of Excellence is the most prestigious honor in D20. Past winners include the teacher who started the first IB program, the administrator who co-founded the School in the Woods, and a community member who raised $50,000 to support the passage of a bond in 2016.

In addition to the annual recognition of outstanding individuals, the Hall of Excellence extends honors to each new board member and superintendent. They become honorary members of the Hall of Excellence for their dedication, passion, and numerous volunteer hours served.
