Students must meet with their high school counselor before completing the District 20 application process electronically. It is recommended that students also attend an information session at their school or through Academy District 20 College and Career Services Department. There are also information sessions and Visit Days hosted by PPSC. Program application/registration at PPSC happens in March of each year.

Academy District 20 sponsors a total of 120 Career Start students each year. Qualified second year students are given priority. Depending on interest and numbers of applications, the application process for first year Career Start may be quite competitive.
Transportation is available for up to 50 Career Start students. The application for transportation is part of the application process for Career Start.
