Student Observations
University students who pursue their degree in education may need to complete observation hours at a school district. Observation hours require the university student to observe a licensed teacher instructing and interacting with students. These university students will need to complete a certain number of observation hours to fulfill a requirement for a course or program.
How to Apply

We will contact you to set up a fingerprinting appointment at our District Office located at 1110 Chapel Hills Drive. Your fingerprints will be submitted to the FBI for a background check.
We will find a placement for you at one of our schools.

Student Teachers
University students who need to teach students for a semester or more will need to apply for a student teacher position with Academy District 20. Student teachers will work with an experienced, licensed teacher to instruct students, compose lessons plans, and work with small groups. These university students will often be at the end of their program.
