Select students may participate in accelerated learning opportunities.  \u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>Third grade\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Third grade is a transition between informal participation and formal identification for TAG services. National ability and achievement assessments administered in the fall of third grade help determine formal TAG identification. Students who meet these criteria are then included in formal TAG programming and an Advanced Learning Plan (ALP) is developed.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>Fourth – fifth grade\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Fourth and fifth grade students who have been formally identified for TAG services work with their classroom teacher, parents and the TAG Teacher to develop academic and affective goals as part of the ALP. The ALP helps guide the types of programming services that meet each student’s individual needs. \u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Exploratory and enrichment class offerings provide students opportunities for further talent development.
