These services are provided to help students access the general curriculum.&nbsp;Individual service providers serve a variety of schools within&nbsp;Academy District 20. Related services include speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, vision, deaf and hard of hearing, and mental health.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>Preschool\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>Preschool introduces children to the structure, routine and focus of school. Students also build cognitive, social, emotional and language skills. Preschool gives children, ages three to five (if not yet eligible for kindergarten), and introduction to learning as teachers guide them through play-based programming. Our classes are integrated. Our child find system helps identify children suspected of having a significant delay in development. The process may begin with a developmental screening and when appropriate, a multidisciplinary evaluation to determine eligibility for preschool through special education. These students are unable to get their needs met within the neighborhood school setting alone.&nbsp;The process for a center based program is data driven, an IEP team decision, and the district's Special Education Department must be included in the decision to change a student's placement.
