Board Meetings

In-Person or Virtual Attendance

You may attend school board meetings in person or virtually from home via Microsoft Teams.

• In-person attendance is limited to 70 audience members per the Colorado Springs Fire Marshal.
• The link to attend virtually is posted on the specific meeting event on the Board of Education calendar the Monday before each meeting.
• Note: In-person attendees may be captured on camera during the live feed and recorded versions of the meeting.

Comments to the Board

Public comment is invited at our meetings. To speak, you must sign up by completing the Public Comment Form between 12 p.m. the day before and 12 p.m. the day of the Board meeting.

• You must be present and available to speak in person at the podium when called upon. Comments may be up to two minutes in length.
• Virtual public comments are not permitted.
• If you cannot attend in person, you may submit written comments via the Public Comment Form during the same sign-up period. Written comments will not be read aloud but will be included in the public record.
• The Board reserves two times for public comments during meetings:
  • After the "Information Items" section for Academy District 20 students and public comments on agenda topics.
  • Near the end of the meeting, before the Debrief, for comments on topics not on the agenda.
  • Exact times vary depending on agenda items; please review the meeting agenda for details.
