Primary Textbook Approval Process

Academy District 20 conducts a thorough review of primary textbooks and instructional materials, whether printed or digital. This review is carried out by an Expert Panel of educators qualified to evaluate the specific content of the materials.

Community members have the opportunity to review these materials and provide input during a two-week window before the textbooks are presented to the Board of Education.

All primary textbooks used in ASD20 are aligned to Colorado Academic Standards and/or in-field standards prior to recommendation and must be approved by the Board of Education.
