As part of Academy District 20's Balanced Assessment System and commitment to supporting student learning, students will participate in the IXL LevelUp™ Diagnostic Assessment up to three times per year. The district has established benchmark windows in fall, winter and spring to monitor progress and support instructional decision-making.

2026-27 IXL Testing Dates

  • Fall: Aug. 24-Sept. 11

  • Winter: Jan. 11-29

  • Spring: April 26-May 14

The IXL LevelUp™ Diagnostic helps families better understand their child's academic progress. Through personalized learning recommendations, growth tracking and targeted support, families and teachers can work together to help every student reach their full potential.

IXL LevelUp™ Diagnostic Highlights

  • See where your child is thriving and where they may need extra support. The IXL LevelUp™ Diagnostic provides a clear picture of your child's current learning in math and language arts.

  • Receive a personalized learning plan. Your child's Action Plan recommends skills that are just right for their current level, helping them build confidence and make meaningful progress.

  • Watch your child's growth throughout the year. Families can view progress over time and celebrate academic gains as students continue learning and practicing.

  • Partner with teachers to support success. Teachers use Diagnostic results to personalize instruction and provide targeted support based on each child's needs.

  • Encourage learning at home. Regular practice on recommended IXL skills helps reinforce classroom learning and supports continued growth.
